Peter Waugh is the Director of Waugh Consulting Pty Ltd and a former Director and Structural Discipline Leader at Cardno Low and Hooke, with over 38 years of experience as a Civil & Structural Engineer. His structural experience spans the design and supervision of high rise hotel and residential structures, hospitals, residential aged care facilities, independent living units, industrial warehouses, food processing facilities, and various commercial projects in reinforced and prestressed concrete, structural steelwork, and timber.

Peter's civil design experience encompasses roads, stormwater drainage, deep excavations including loading platforms, and large water retention and detention facilities including dams, bridges, and spillways. He is also a practising expert witness, having been involved in many cases with the majority resulting in a favourable outcome for the represented party.

Peter has led teams of up to 10 trained professionals in the delivery of multidisciplinary projects from invitation, award, concept and detail design, through tender and construction delivery. He has worked with leading private and public entities including Brookfield Multiplex, Bovis Lend Lease, Leighton Contractors, Abigroup, Hansen Yuncken, Australand, NSW Health Infrastructure, RMS, Transport NSW, University of Wollongong, UTS, UWS, UNSW, and Baptist Care, alongside architects including Harry Seidler and Associates, Nettleton Tribe, Urbis, Fitzpatrick Partners, Hassall Group, and Thomson Adsett, among many others.
